Connect your domain: DNS guides by provider
Two records (an A and a CNAME) at the company that holds your domain. Remo never asks for your password; you add them yourself, following the screens of your provider. Your account shows the same guide with your own domain and the exact values.
Cloudflare
dash.cloudflare.com → Domains → your domain → DNS → Records
1. Open the DNS Records page
Go to dash.cloudflare.com and sign in. On the Domains page click yourbusiness.com. In the left menu click DNS, then Records. The page is titled DNS Records.2. Keep a copy of the records
Click Import and Export, then Export. Save the file: it's the way back if anything goes wrong. Nothing changes yet.3. Edit the A record for the root
Find the row Type A whose Name is yourbusiness.com (Cloudflare shows the root as the full domain; when you add one you type @). Click Edit. Set IPv4 address to147.182.236.145. Set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud). Click Save.4. Remove any second root record
If there is a second A row for the root, or any AAAA row for the root: click Edit on it, then Delete, then Delete again to confirm. Exactly one A root record must remain, and no AAAA root record.5. Replace the www record
Find any row with Name www (A, AAAA or CNAME). Click Edit, then Delete, then Delete again. Now click Add record: Type CNAME, Namewww, Targetsites.remobuilds.com, Proxy status DNS only, TTL Auto. Click Save.6. Check the Rules, as a precaution
Open Rules → Overview, and Rules → Page Rules. If a rule redirects yourbusiness.com to the old site, turn it off or delete it. Rules only act while a cloud is orange, but they would hijack the domain the day someone turns the proxy on.7. Come back and check
Press Check my domain here. Cloudflare says changes can take more than five minutes; if the old A record had a long TTL, allow up to that TTL (at most a day). Keep both clouds grey: do not turn the proxy on, not even after you're live.
Watch out
- Never delete or edit MX or TXT rows: that is your email. Leave an A row named mail alone too.
- The orange cloud (Proxied) hides the real destination: the check never passes and the site can loop between http and https. Keep both records on DNS only (grey cloud), also after you're live.
- Two A records for the root, or an old AAAA, means the old site keeps showing: leave exactly one A.
- Cloudflare may show the root as the full domain name instead of @: it's the same record.
- If the dashboard says the domain is managed through a hosting partner, the records are edited at that hosting company instead.
- A zone marked Moved is deleted seven days later, and re-adding it assigns new nameservers: tell me in the chat before doing that.
The cloud is orange, is that a problem?
Yes: click Edit on the record, switch Proxy status to DNS only (grey), Save. Leave it grey: the proxy hides the new site from the check and can cause a redirect loop.
I don't see my domain in Cloudflare
It may be in another Cloudflare account (a designer's). Your registrar's page shows which nameservers it uses: tell me in the chat.
Will my email stop?
No: these two records never touch MX or TXT rows. If an MX row points at the domain itself, the email step shown above the steps comes first.
