Connect your domain: DNS guides by provider
Two records (an A and a CNAME) at the company that holds your domain. Remo never asks for your password; you add them yourself, following the screens of your provider. Your account shows the same guide with your own domain and the exact values.
Namecheap
namecheap.com → Hosting List → Go to cPanel → Domains → Zone Editor → Manage
1. Open cPanel
Go to namecheap.com, Sign In, then Hosting List and Go to cPanel next to your hosting plan (or use the login from the email 'Your Hosting Account Details'). Your domain uses Namecheap Web Hosting DNS, so its records live here, not under Advanced DNS.2. Open the Zone Editor
In cPanel, under Domains click Zone Editor, then Manage next to yourbusiness.com.3. Edit the A record
Find the row Type A whose Name is yourbusiness.com. (the dot at the end is normal). Click Edit. Replace the Record with147.182.236.145. Click Save Record.4. Point www with a CNAME
Find www.yourbusiness.com.. If it's Type A, click Delete. Then + Add Record: Type CNAME, Namewww, Recordsites.remobuilds.com, Save Record.5. Come back and check
Do not touch mail.yourbusiness.com. or the MX rows. Press Check my domain here: 30 to 60 minutes.
Watch out
- Never delete or edit MX or TXT rows: that is your email. Leave an A row named mail alone too.
- Never click Actions → Reset DNS Zone: it rewrites every row.
- If you cancel this hosting plan, the domain and its email stop resolving: switch the domain to Namecheap BasicDNS first (copy the rows) and tell me in the chat.
- Your domain's /webmail address stops opening once the domain points here: use the server's own address (serverNNN.web-hosting.com:2096) or cPanel → Email Accounts → Check Email.
The Zone Editor shows no Manage button
Click the domain's name or its pencil; older cPanel versions label it differently. Tell me what you see.
