Connect your domain: DNS guides by provider
Two records (an A and a CNAME) at the company that holds your domain. Remo never asks for your password; you add them yourself, following the screens of your provider. Your account shows the same guide with your own domain and the exact values.
Porkbun
porkbun.com → Domain Management → DNS (under your domain)
1. Open the DNS records
Log in at porkbun.com. Under yourbusiness.com click the DNS button.2. Delete the parking rows
Under Current Records, click the trash can on every row for yourbusiness.com, www or * whose Answer is pixie.porkbun.com or an old server, and click OK. Don't touch MX, TXT or any row named mail.3. Add the A record
In the form at the top: Type A, Host blank (Porkbun doesn't accept @: blank is the root), Answer147.182.236.145. Click Add.4. Add the www CNAME
Type CNAME, Hostwww, Answersites.remobuilds.com. Click Add.5. Remove URL forwarding, if any
Click Details next to yourbusiness.com: if URL Forwarding lists a rule, remove it (the control's label varies: a trash can or Delete).6. Come back and check
Press Check my domain here: Porkbun says seconds for a new record, about 10 minutes for a changed one.
Watch out
- Never delete or edit MX or TXT rows: that is your email. Leave an A row named mail alone too.
- Porkbun refuses a record when 'A CNAME or ALIAS record with that host already exists': delete the parking rows first.
- Host is blank for the root: typing @ or the domain name creates the wrong record.
- Never change the nameservers: it breaks Porkbun-hosted services such as email forwarding.
It says a CNAME or ALIAS already exists
Delete the pixie.porkbun.com rows for the root and *, then add again.
